Pope strongly criticizes Donald Trump

Pope Francis, the leader of the world's Catholics, has strongly criticized Donald Trump, one of the Republican Party candidates in the United States.
On his way back to Rome from Mexico, the Pope said that a person who only talks about building walls and not bridges (for communication) is not a Christian.
Mr. Trump called the remarks "disgraceful" and added that if the forces of the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) ever attacked the Vatican, the Pope would wish and pray that Trump were president.
Mr. Trump has previously said he intends to build a wall along the US-Mexico border. He has also made controversial statements calling for a ban on Muslims entering the United States.
According to the BBC's correspondent in America, in his election campaign, Mr. Trump is trying to emphasize his religious and Christian image, and these words from the Pope could potentially hurt Trump's efforts.
