Arrest of Afsaneh Azimzadeh, child rights activist, by security forces in Tehran

Afsaneh Azimzadeh, a child rights activist, was arrested by security forces on Monday, December 14, and taken to an unknown location. Ms. Azimzadeh was arrested at Milad Hospital in Tehran, where she had visited the hospital to follow up on her mother's heart condition. According to HRANA News Agency, the news agency of the Human Rights Activists in Iran, on Monday, December 14, 2020, Afsaneh Azimzadeh, a child rights activist, was arrested by security forces and taken to an unknown location.
Ms. Azimzadeh was arrested at Milad Hospital in Tehran after she had visited the hospital to follow up on her mother's heart condition.
A source familiar with the conditions of the detention of this children's rights activist told HRANA: "Ms. Azimzadeh was detained in front of her parents."
After his arrest, security agents searched his home and his mother's house, confiscating some of his personal belongings and taking them away.
