Speech and opinion

Greetings to Mr. Mohammad Javad Zarif

I, Shiva Piran, born in Iran and residing in Sweden, have decided to defend my beliefs and those of millions of other people, and more importantly, the Holy Bible, which is the book of millions of Christians and Jews. I would like to inform you that the Holy Bible is in no way comparable to the Quran and is not interpreted by Islamic or Jewish scholars.

The Bible is a historical and sacred book, dating back more than a thousand years BC, compiled four hundred years BC. This is while Islam emerged in the Middle East six hundred years after the birth of Jesus Christ. It should be noted that all historical evidence points to this issue.

Dear Mr. Zarif, the very book that you think was interpreted by the Jews! It carries holiness, love, and the good news of the salvation of mankind, which is the birth of Jesus Christ, as well as an account of God's great works to save the world through the people of Israel. The Book of Esther is a detailed account of God's works to save His chosen people, which more than two billion Christians and Jews around the world believe in.

As a Christian girl who believes in the birth, crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ after three days, I decided to write this letter.

Mr. Zarif, my question is this! How can you deny the role of a Jewish woman in saving your people? While the Islamic Republic of Iran is currently terrorizing, harassing, imprisoning, and torturing Christian and Jewish citizens in Iran, as well as trying to close their places of worship?!! Instead of making baseless statements and accusing these people of interpreting and manipulating the Bible, wouldn't it be better to look at your bloody hands and see what role you have in persecuting these people now, and not three thousand years ago!

The Islamic Republic of Iran is so insistent on Israel's appreciation of Iran that it is as if it were running the Achaemenid government! While it is not hidden from public view that the Islamic Republic of Iran censors, deletes, and changes not only the history of Judaism and the world, but also the history of the Iranian people for thousands of years!

So I thank God, as Jesus Christ said in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 10, verses 28-30: “Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s knowledge. Mr. Zarif, by removing Israel from the map of the world, you cannot diminish the righteousness of this people of God and the holiness of the Holy Scriptures!”

You are reading the book of Esther falsely! Are you also at war with Moses? In the book of the Torah, Exodus 34:10, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do wonders such as have not been done in any nation in all the earth. All the people among whom you dwell will see the work of the Lord, for it is a terrible thing that I am about to do with you.”

What will you say to Jacob: In the Torah, Genesis 35:10-13, “And the Lord said to him, ‘Your name is Jacob; your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel shall be your name.’ So he called his name Israel. And God said to him, ‘I am God Almighty; be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall come from you, and kings shall come from you. The land that I gave to Abraham and Isaac I will give to you and to your descendants after you.’”

Mr. Mohammad Javad Zarif, by reading the Old Testament, we will witness that none of the prophets and seers in the Holy Bible were willing to bow down to the apparent glory and splendor of the Persian kings during their captivity in Iran. Rather, the obedience of the Jewish prophets and seers to the Holy God caused a long-standing hatred and calling these people unclean, which was inherited from generation to generation among Iranians. By fueling this issue, the Islamic Republic of Iran has further attempted to spread this hatred between these two peoples.

Isaiah Chapter 45 Verses 18 to 20:

For God, who created the heavens,

He who is God and formed the earth,

And he built it and established it,

And He did not create it to be empty, but to be filled with people,

He also says:

I am God, and there is none besides me.

I did not speak in secret, nor in some dark land,

And I said not to the seed of Jacob, Seek me in vain.

I, Jehovah, speak in faithfulness.

And I declare what is true.

Gather together, you remnant of the nations! Come and draw near!

Those who carry their carved wooden idols are ignorant.

So I thank God for the cross of Jesus Christ, who forgives the sins of everyone who believes in him and through faith in him has called us to friendship with him.

May the grace, peace, and salvation of Jesus Christ be with you.

Shiva Piran
