Tehran police brutally confront teenage girls and boys playing in water in Tehran-Pars

The police's violent treatment of girls and boys playing in a park in Tehran's Pars Ab district made headlines.
Images posted on social media on Monday, July 25, show officers attempting to force a girl into a police vehicle and, when they encounter her resistance, violently force her into the vehicle.
One of the girls present at the scene told reporter Masih Alinejad that the girl was beaten and taken to the detention center.
Ms. Alinejad wrote on her Twitter page, quoting a witness: "A small group of girls and boys were playing in a corner of the water without disturbing others."
According to him, the officers pulled the hair of one of the girls from behind and took them away.
The incident with girls and boys playing in the water park also drew reactions from users, and some criticized the police's harsh treatment and compared it to other cases of violence against women, including the acid attack in Isfahan, the perpetrators of which were not identified.
The police announced in a statement that the girls and boys had been using hallucinogenic drugs and were playing dirty jokes with each other.
This is despite the fact that in recent years, numerous cases of police violence against women have occurred and made headlines, including cases of police patrols and other police departments dealing with cases of harassment under the pretext of improper or non-veiling.
