Tehran on the verge of earthquake disaster

FCNN: Tehran holds the world record for land subsidence… The land in Tehran is sinking one millimeter every day, or 36 centimeters per year. Soil subsidence in Tehran, due to the weakness of the underlying layers of the earth and the porosity of the soil caused by groundwater extraction, has currently reduced Tehran's seismic resistance limit from 6 to 4.5, effectively making the city more vulnerable.
Earthquakes in Tehran have a history of more than 2,000 years and date back to BC. History shows that the city of Rey, as the capital of the country, was destroyed many times due to earthquakes. So Tehran has always been prone to earthquakes. However, the last major earthquake, which was again related to the east of Tehran, the city of Rey, dates back to March 1830, 183 years ago, during which almost all the houses and the bazaar in Tehran were destroyed, and the casualties at that time were more than 45,000 people.
If we refer to the historical earthquakes of the central Alborz region, we see that earthquakes of up to 7.7 on the Richter scale have occurred in this region at least 10 times. According to the calculations of the father of Iranian earthquakes, this period is 150 years for Tehran, while about 180 years have passed since its last major earthquake. This 30-year delay means that the next earthquake will be much more intense and large. The earth's energy is accumulating in the faults, and the next earthquake in Tehran, which normally has the potential to occur up to 7 on the Richter scale, will certainly exceed 7 on the Richter scale in these conditions. Millions of deaths and injuries will fill the entire city, which has been reduced to ruins by then. Electricity, water, and gas will be cut off for at least 2 years. There will be no roads or paths left, and rescue teams will practically not be able to travel by land.
Officials believe that at that time, air relief will be provided by landing rescue helicopters in parks, and relief provinces will rush to help. For example, Qom will help the south of the city, Qazvin will help the west of Tehran, Semnan will help the east, and so on. Of course, these are strategies on paper, and no exercises have ever been conducted to test their effectiveness on normal days.
The hospitals, which are among the 6,000 dilapidated structures in Tehran, have been completely destroyed, even though the Ministry of Health has always warned about this. Tehran will be closed and razed to the ground for a long time. Profiteers are rushing to loot the remains of the city, and imagine what the police force can do in this shattered city to control these people or to protect the safety of the survivors? People who have taken the trouble to buy houses in the northern areas of the city, which have been repeatedly warned about its faults, will not be able to use them if they survive and the house collapses, because they will not have water, electricity, or gas for years.
The issue is: Why should all the capital be concentrated in Tehran? This is not the case outside Iran. Factories and companies are not all concentrated in one place, and industries are spread out in different cities. In Iran, people have to go to Tehran even for a simple surgery. This is not true, other cities should be as prosperous as Tehran. Tehran's population has reached 14 million, which is very dangerous. The larger the population, the higher the number of casualties.
Important points to note during the Tehran earthquake:
Due to the 36% dilapidated urban fabric, areas 10, 11, 12, and 17 are the most vulnerable areas and there will be no possibility of relief in these areas.
Due to the collapse of buildings, it is not possible to provide assistance to the injured, and in the most optimistic scenario, about 6.5 million people will lose their lives.
Due to the lack of a system to instantly shut off the water, electricity, and gas systems, widespread fires and terrible explosions will occur.
It seems that the country's officials, leaders, mayors, and politicians have no intention of thinking about solutions or planning, and are in a deep sleep. The danger has arrived, and they are only looking to plunder the property of the people and the country.
An old proverb says: A sleeping person can be awakened, but a person who has put himself to sleep cannot be awakened.
