Armed attack by "Jaish al-Adl" on a Revolutionary Guard vehicle in Balochistan

According to the IRNA news agency, the Sunni militant group Jaish al-Adl has attacked a Revolutionary Guard vehicle. According to the Revolutionary Guard, the vehicle belonged to an engineering unit, and one person was injured and another went missing during the operation.

According to news agencies, armed members of the "Army of Justice" group have attacked IRGC patrol vehicles in the Kashtegan area of Bam Pasht city.

Mohammad Hadi Marashi, deputy head of security and law enforcement for the Sistan and Baluchestan governorate, announced on Tuesday, March 3, that a “vehicle carrying forces from the Revolutionary Guards Engineering Unit” had been attacked.

The deputy governor of Balochistan attributed the attack to the Jaish al-Adl group.

The Public Relations and Propaganda Department of the IRGC Ground Forces' Quds Headquarters also confirmed that one "engineering personnel" was injured and another was missing in the attack on the IRGC's engineering forces in Bam Pasht.

On the other hand, the news channel “Rased Balochistan” reported, based on a statement attributed to “Jaish al-Adl,” that armed individuals attacked two vehicles. In the armed conflict, one vehicle was destroyed and “the other vehicle along with its occupants was taken hostage by the group.”

According to the same report, "five IRGC forces were killed and three others were taken hostage" in the clash.

In recent days, Saravan and its surroundings have witnessed widespread unrest, which has also led to protests, following the killing of several fuel tankers in the area by Islamic Republic forces.

The “Army of Justice” is an armed group that operates under the slogan of defending the rights of the people of Balochistan in southeastern Iran. The Islamic Republic considers this Sunni separatist group and calls it the “Army of Injustice.”

Iran also accuses its regional rival Saudi Arabia of supporting Sunni “separatist” groups such as the Army of Justice, an accusation Saudi Arabia has consistently denied.
