Dr. Tomaj Arian, a Christian citizen, became a member of the "Pan-Iranist" party in 2001. He was arrested in Karaj on November 2, 1401, for his Christian faith and sent to solitary confinement in Karaj Prison. After spending 28 days in solitary confinement, he was transferred to the general ward of the prison.
He was eventually released on a hefty bail of four billion and eight hundred million Tomans pending trial. He also began his cooperation with the Iranian Christian Freedmen's Party (AMA) in 2020 and became a member of this party.
In September of this year (1403), Dr. Ariankaya was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 2 years of civil disobedience by Judge Mustafa Narimani on charges of "preaching Christianity," "communication with hostile states," and "membership in illegal and anti-regime groups." After receiving the aforementioned verdict, he appealed to the relevant court.
It should be noted that for years, Christian citizens have been facing very high bail conditions for temporary release after being arrested by the Islamic Republic government, in addition to false accusations without sufficient evidence.
