Earthquake damages Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad at least 78 billion Tomans

Simultaneously with the announcement of 78 billion tomans in damages to Boyer Ahmad and Dena due to the earthquake, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani ordered all ministries to mobilize to help the earthquake victims.
Mahmoud Vaezi , Hassan Rouhani's chief of staff, has called the governor of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad and conveyed the president's order to expedite the process of providing relief to the earthquake victims. At 8:38 am on Wednesday, a 5.2-magnitude earthquake shook the city of "Sisakht" in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad and surrounding cities, including Yasuj, injuring at least 133 people.
Since then, two other earthquakes of lesser magnitude have shaken these areas, and no reports have been published yet on the extent of their financial and human losses.
Mr. Rouhani has called for the mobilization of all the country's resources to help these earthquake victims, even though the problems of the people of the region have not been resolved months after the 7.3-magnitude earthquake on November 11, 2017 in Kermanshah province, which left more than 600 dead and destroyed the homes of tens of thousands of people.
Another report indicates that the Deputy Governor for Civil Affairs of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad has also announced that the estimated amount of earthquake damage in Boyer-Ahmad and Dena counties is 78 billion Tomans.
However, Aziz Fili added that a detailed assessment of the damage requires "more expertise and time."
According to him, "50 billion tomans of damage has been caused to urban and rural residential units and 28 billion tomans of damage has been caused to facilities and infrastructure."
A summary of the damage to the province is scheduled to be announced to the country's crisis headquarters by the end of Saturday.
Mehr News Agency also reported that the 5.2-magnitude earthquake in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad caused "significant damage" to the city's water supply network and lines.
A landslide caused by an earthquake has destroyed water transmission lines in areas of Boyer-Ahmad County.
The CEO of the Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad Province Urban Water and Wastewater Company announced that the wells that became muddy in the Tang Kenare area of Yasuj have been removed from operation, adding that there is currently no problem in this regard in Yasuj city.
Ali Ladni-Nejad also pointed out the "dislocation" of water transmission lines in this province in six points due to damage to the lines caused by falling rocks and rocks, five of which have been restored to normal operation.
Faizullah Pasra, CEO of the provincial Abfar Company, also reported the destruction of the water transmission line to several villages in Boyer Ahmad County and said that mobile water supply to these areas has begun.
As Pasreh said, two water reservoirs in this province have been completely destroyed.
According to Iranian media reports, all offices, schools, and universities in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad are closed today, Thursday, and all service institutions of the province's crisis headquarters are on alert.
Iran is located on numerous earthquake faults, and several earthquakes occur in different parts of it every year.
Bahram Okasheh, who is known as the father of Iranian seismology, said in an interview with Arman newspaper last year: "We are sitting on all kinds of faults. In these circumstances, we must prepare ourselves to face all kinds of problems."
