Tehran University students gather to protest the condition of imprisoned journalist Marzieh Amiri

A group of Tehran University students held a protest rally to protest the lack of information about the condition of Marzieh Amiri, a journalist for Shargh Newspaper.
The Telegram channel of the Free Workers Union reported that a group of Tehran University students held a protest rally on the 33rd day of the arrest of Shargh journalist Marzieh Amiri to protest the lack of information about the journalist's situation in the Student Affairs Organization.
According to this report, Mohammad Reza Alam, Deputy Head of the Student Affairs Organization, promised the protesting students at this gathering that he would follow up on Marzieh Amiri's situation through Gholam Reza Ghaffari, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Culture and Social Affairs.
Marzieh Amiri, a journalist and social sciences student at the University of Tehran, had gone to the Vazra detention center to follow up on the situation of those detained on International Labor Day, where she was arrested and transferred to Ward 209 of Evin Prison. Twenty days after Ms. Amiri's arrest, the Judiciary Spokesperson announced that her charges were "security-related."
This journalist and social sciences student at the University of Tehran had previously been arrested on March 8, 2018, along with dozens of others, and transferred to Qarchak Prison in Varamin while participating in a ceremony to mark International Women's Day. She had also been arrested during the nationwide protests in January 2017 and interrogated for three days.
