The number of people infected with coronavirus worldwide has reached 100 million

For the first time, the number of people infected with the coronavirus in the world has reached about 100 million. The United States, India, Brazil, Russia, and the United Kingdom have the highest number of coronavirus infections in the world.
Johns Hopkins University announced on Monday, January 25, that the number of people infected with the coronavirus worldwide has approached 100 million, and a total of 2,134,210 people have died from the virus worldwide.
The United States ranks first among countries in the world with 25 million 173 thousand cases and 419 thousand 621 deaths from COVID-19. In other words, more than a quarter of all coronavirus cases and deaths in the world have been recorded in the United States.
India, which has long been one of the main centers of coronavirus in Asia, has ranked second in the list of the top five countries in the world with 10,667,736 cases, according to the latest report from Johns Hopkins University. More than 153,470 people in India have died from the coronavirus.
In Brazil, 8.884 million people have been infected with the coronavirus. The country ranks third in the list of countries with the most coronavirus cases in the world, but in terms of death toll, it is second only to the United States, with more than 217,000 deaths.
Russia came in fourth place with 3.698 million cases, but the country ranks lower in terms of deaths. In Russia, 68,841 people have died from COVID-19.
The number of people infected with the coronavirus in the UK has exceeded 3.68 million, and the number of deaths has reached 98,723. In terms of the number of deaths, the UK is ranked fifth on the Johns Hopkins University list, after the United States, Brazil, India, and Mexico.
Germany, with 2,153,580 people, is ranked tenth on the list of countries most affected by the coronavirus in the world, and more than 52,626 people have died from the coronavirus in the country.
According to statistics from Johns Hopkins University, Iran is ranked sixteenth with 1,379,286 people infected with the coronavirus, but in terms of the number of deaths, it is ranked ninth on the university's list with 57,481 people.
Data from Johns Hopkins University in the United States, which reports the rate of coronavirus infections and deaths in 191 countries around the world, indicates that the number of infected and dead people has not yet decreased despite the start of public vaccination in many countries around the world.
