Shahrzad Jafari, the sister of imprisoned photographer Noushin Jafari, was also "arrested"

Unofficial reports indicate that Shahrzad Jafari, the sister of detained theater and cinema photographer Nooshin Jafari, was also arrested today, Sunday.
Shiva Nazarahari, an Iranian political activist who is abroad, announced the news on her Twitter account on Sunday, September 1, writing that Shahrzad Jafari, Noushin Jafari's sister, was arrested at her home this morning.
Ms. Nazar Ahari wrote that she had been "threatened" not to report her sister's condition.
It is still unclear by which entity Shahrzad Jafari was arrested, and this arrest has not been confirmed or denied by official authorities.
Also, cinema and theater photographer Noushin Jafari was arrested on August 3, and Gholamhossein Esmaili, spokesman for the Iranian judiciary, accused her of propagandizing against the regime and insulting sacred places.
Since Noushin Jafari's arrest, some intelligence sources in Iran have claimed that she is the administrator of the "Yar Dabastani" Twitter account, which writes against the Islamic Republic. However, the administrator of this Twitter account denied any connection to Ms. Jafari.
Previously, Nazar Ahari had released an audio file of Nooshin Jafari in which Ms. Jafari, emphasizing that she was "under pressure," asked Ms. Nazar Ahari to give her the account information of a Twitter user.
Noushin Jafari's lawyer recently announced that the National Security Prosecutor's Office has not granted her permission to represent Ms. Jafari.
Previously, international human rights organizations and the United States government have repeatedly accused the Islamic Republic of violating freedom of expression and suppressing civil activists, and have called for the release of media members, journalists, and writers who have lost their freedom simply because of performing their duties and professions.
The US State Department also wrote in these tweets titled "40 Years of Unfulfilled Promises of the Islamic Republic" that "Forty years ago, Ayatollah Khomeini promised freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Today, Iran has one of the most repressed media environments. The ruling regime has only failed for forty years."
