Ebrahim Firoozi, a Christian convert and prisoner of conscience in Rajai Shahr, has been struggling with pain in the left side of his chest for over a year, and despite the worsening of his illness in the last three months, he has faced neglect from authorities and medical staff.
During this period, the prisoner only had a blood test once and was summoned to the infirmary for another test, but the guard officer refused to send the prisoner to the infirmary.
In the most recent verdict, Ebrahim Firouzi was sentenced to five years in prison by Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Moghiseh.
On March 7, 2014, he was tried by Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Moghiseh, on charges of "acting against national security through association and collusion." He met with his lawyer for the first time during the court session.
This Christian convert, who was arrested on September 23, 2013, has a history of numerous arrests and was previously sentenced by the Revolutionary Court of Robat Karim to one year in prison and two years of exile to Sarbaz County. However, despite the fact that his sentence ended on January 13 of last year, he is still in prison until the verdict in the new case filed against him is finalized.
Ebrahim Firouzi is currently serving his sentence in Ward 10 of Rajai Shahr Prison, contrary to the principle of segregation of crimes.
