Murder of a woman by a 68-year-old father

Domestic violence led to the murder of a woman by her 68-year-old father.

The Ilam provincial police commander announced the arrest of a 68-year-old man who killed his daughter with a brick following a verbal altercation.

According to Brigadier General Jamal Salmani, after law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, they encountered the lifeless, bloodied body of a woman who had suffered severe head and neck injuries. Rescue workers rushed her to the hospital. The woman died from the severity of her injuries.

Upon investigation by officers present at the scene, it was determined that the 68-year-old man had killed his daughter by hitting her with a brick. He was arrested without resistance and taken to police headquarters.

The accused stated that his motive for the murder was a verbal altercation, lack of anger control, and a family dispute. After the case was filed, the accused was referred to the judicial authorities to go through the legal process.
