Narges Mohammadi was transferred from prison to the hospital for surgery.

The family of human rights activist Narges Mohammadi says she has been "transferred to the hospital under guard" from Evin Prison.
Ms. Mohammadi's husband, Taghi Rahmani, announced the news on his Twitter page on Tuesday, writing that Narges Mohammadi should have undergone surgery to remove her uterus last year, "according to the opinion of pulmonologists and gynecologists."
Narges Mohammadi was hospitalized.

Previously, Narges Mohammadi's defense lawyer had emphasized that her client, based on the opinion of specialist doctors, should undergo uterine surgery as soon as possible.
Narges Mohammadi has been sentenced to a total of 16 years in prison on charges of "gathering and colluding against the system," "propaganda against the system," and launching the Legam campaign (step-by-step abolition of the death penalty).
Among them, his most severe sentence is 10 years in prison in connection with the Legam campaign, which according to the Islamic Penal Code is the maximum sentence that must be carried out, not the sum of the sentences.
Ms. Mohammadi's lawyer says that her client has served about seven years of her 10-year sentence and should be eligible for parole.
