Cheshmeh Publishing Bookstore Sealed for Not Observing Hijab

The "Cheshmeh Publishing" bookstore in Tehran was sealed off for not observing the hijab.
According to informed sources close to the aforementioned trade union, on Sunday evening, August 6, the "Cheshmeh Publishing" bookstore, located on the fifth floor of Tehran's Kourosh Commercial Complex, was sealed off by the city's public places police due to what was described as "failure to observe Islamic decency."
In recent months and weeks, we have witnessed the sealing of many business units, including restaurants, clothing stores, coffee shops, local shops, etc., due to non-observance of the hijab. The sealing of these centers is being carried out while, according to a lawyer in this regard, the sealing of business units in the name of confronting the hijab is not legal. According to the law, the crime and the punishment must be proportionate. Therefore, the legislator has not yet defined a crime on the basis of which business units can be punished for improper or non-observance of the hijab.
