A member of the Iranian Freedom Movement was sentenced to one year in prison.

Mehdi Motamedi Mehr, a member of the political bureau and head of the Education Committee of the Freedom of Iran Movement, was sentenced to one year in prison by the Karaj Revolutionary Court.
According to the Iran Freedom Movement Telegram channel, Motamedi Mehr went to court with a complaint from the Revolutionary Guards Intelligence Organization and was sentenced to one year in prison on charges of "propaganda activity against the Islamic Republic of Iran." Another case has been published against Motamedi Mehr, on charges of "spreading lies."
According to this Freedom Movement member, the court issued this verdict without any "documentation" and solely based on "the report of IRGC intelligence informants."
Motamedi Mehr had previously been arrested three times and spent four years in prison during protests over the disputed presidential election results in 2009. He was released from prison in March 2016.
