20 trillion tomans of corruption in Zakani Municipality
A member of the Tehran City Council announced the discovery of a corruption case worth 20 trillion tomans in Tehran Municipality.
"Nasser Amani," a member of the Tehran City Council, said about the 20 trillion tomans corruption case that the mayor of Tehran and the municipality's spokesperson had also spoken about: "The Tehran Municipality spokesperson announced that a corruption case had been discovered in the Tehran Municipality that was equal to half of the municipality's budget, which is about 20 trillion tomans. This number was very strange and shocking."
He also stated regarding the request for details of the case: "We asked the municipality in the media to present the reports to the members of the Tehran City Council as representatives of the people, but so far we have not received any information."
Also, according to ISNA, Nasser Amani emphasized that Tehran Mayor Zakani also spoke about this 20 trillion IDR case in his press interview, adding: "Mr. Zakani confirmed the existence of such a case with his words, and we are waiting for them to submit a report on this matter to the city council or to publish more details of this case in order to enlighten public opinion."
