Court Session Held to Address Charges Against ‘Ali Timouri’

A court session to address the charges against ‘Ali Timouri,’ a war veteran, was held yesterday.

Ali Timouri, a wounded veteran of the Iran-Iraq War, was arrested on Saturday, 16 Bahman 1402 after appearing at the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Eslamshahr County and transferred to an unknown location. He was eventually released on bail from the Central Prison of Karaj on 16 Bahman.

The court session to address the charges against Ali Timouri was held yesterday, Wednesday, on 20 Tir, in the second branch of the Revolutionary Court of Karaj, where he presented his defense against charges of propaganda against the system and contact with hostile networks.

A person close to his family stated: “The substance of the charges brought against Mr. Timouri is the posting of images of his presence at the graves of Mohammad Mahdi Karami and Kian Hosseinzadeh, protesters executed during nationwide protests, on his Instagram page and their broadcast on the ‘Me and You’ network.”

As of the time of preparing this report, no information regarding sentences issued against him is available.
