Over the past ten days, six black churches in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, have been the victims of arson.
Arson attacks in St. Louis, Missouri, have claimed six black churches in recent days. Authorities are searching for the perpetrator and his motive.
In all cases, the fire started from the church's exterior door and no one was inside the building, according to a joint statement released by the St. Louis Police, Fire Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
“We believe this incendiary activity carries a message,” the statement said, but it was not clear what the specific message was.
According to CNN, there have been six fires in the last 10 days, all involving black churches.
Authorities are investigating the incident, but so far have not been able to find any conclusive evidence that the fires are connected.
