Explosion in Saravan kills and injures four people

Reuters reported, citing the state-run IRNA news agency, that on Sunday, April 2, an explosion in a square in the city of Saravan, Sistan and Baluchestan province, killed one person and injured three others.

The Revolutionary Guards, in a statement quoted by IRNA, called the explosion "terrorist."

Previously, a UN human rights spokesperson reported that at least 23 Baloch were killed in Saravan and other cities of Sistan and Baluchestan during March of last year by the Revolutionary Guards and security forces of the Islamic Republic.

The direct firing of IRGC forces at Baloch fuel tankers sparked widespread protests in the cities of Sistan and Baluchestan in March of last year, which were suppressed by security forces and the Revolutionary Guards.
