According to HRANA news agency, citing Mohabat News, the Karaj Revolutionary Court sentenced Hamed Ashouri, a Christian, to imprisonment.
According to this verdict, which was delivered to Mr. Ashouri in April of this year, he was sentenced to 10 months in prison on charges of propaganda against the regime.
According to the report, he has 20 days to appeal.
Hamed Ashouri was arrested by security forces in Fardis, Karaj, in March 2018 and transferred to Qezl-e-Hesar Prison, Karaj, for interrogation.
It is said that security forces searched Mr. Ashouri's home while he was in detention.
He was finally temporarily released from Qezl-e-Hesar Prison in Karaj after ten days.
The report states that the citizen was told to attend Islamic religious classes, and that Mr. Ashouri's family was also threatened and harassed by security officers.
The hearing on this citizen's charges was held in March 2019 at Branch 4 of the Karaj Revolutionary Court.
