Christian Social Party: Foreign funding for German mosques should be cut

Germany's Christian Social Party has called for a law to control the spread of Islam in Germany and Europe. According to the plan, imams, among others, must deliver their sermons and speeches in German.
According to FCNN, Andreas Scheuer, the secretary general of the Christian Social Party of Germany, based in Bavaria, is preparing a bill to set the framework for teaching the principles of Islam in Germany. Scheuer said that how religion is treated should be determined by a specific law. In his opinion, the adoption of an “Islam law” would help integrate Muslims into German society.
Important points of the plan
According to Scheuer's plan, mosque imams should be trained in Germany, and sermons should be delivered in German. Furthermore, the content of the speeches should be based on the human values enshrined in the German constitution.
"Our approach to political Islam must be more critical and tougher," the secretary general of Germany's Christian Social Party said in an interview with the newspaper Die Welt. "Only then will the integration of non-Germans into our society be possible." "We cannot, on the one hand, implement the provisions of immigration laws and, on the other hand, turn a blind eye to the propaganda that takes place in mosques," he said.
Andreas Scheuer also proposes that financial aid from Turkey and Saudi Arabia be stopped. He calls the “export of extremist ideas and values to Germany” unacceptable. In his opinion, the Islam propagated in the West should be based on the enlightened values of Europe. Scheuer emphasized that “a free and liberal Europe must regulate and promote its own Islam.”
The Christian Social Union leader also called for “punitive measures” against those who refuse to participate in government integration programs, after Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said that financial assistance and benefits for refugees who refuse to accept German laws and regulations would be cut.
