IRGC missile attack on spy and terrorist centers in Syria and Erbil

The Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a missile attack on several terrorist-espionage centers in Syria and Erbil last night.

According to a statement issued by the Revolutionary Guards, parts of areas that were spy and terrorist centers were targeted and destroyed last night with IRGC ballistic missiles.

The Revolutionary Guards issued a statement regarding these attacks, saying: "In response to the recent crimes committed by terrorist groups in the unjust martyrdom of a group of compatriots in Kerman and Rask, the gathering places of commanders and key elements related to recent terrorist operations, especially ISIS, were identified in the occupied Syrian territories and destroyed by firing a number of ballistic missiles. The Israeli regime's spy headquarters (Mossad) in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region was also targeted and destroyed."

In a phone call with IRGC Commander-in-Chief Hossein Salami, General Amir Ali Hajizadeh announced the success of the attacks. According to him, four Khyber-Shakan missiles were fired from southern Khuzestan at the Takfiri group in Idlib, four from Kermanshah, and seven from East Azerbaijan at the Zionist headquarters.

Also, according to the commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, nearly nine aircraft will attack the second group of Takfiris and ISIS in the coming hours.

In response to the attacks, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry summoned the Iranian chargé d'affaires in Baghdad and submitted written protests to him regarding the IRGC's missile operations.

Nasser Kanani, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said regarding last night's attacks: "The action taken was in line with the powerful defense of the country's sovereignty and security, the fight against terrorism, and part of the Islamic Republic's just punishment against those who violate the country's security."

The US State Department spokesperson, while offering condolences to the families of those killed in Erbil, Iraq, strongly condemned Iran's attacks in Erbil, saying: "We oppose Iran's reckless and indiscriminate missile attacks that undermine Iraq's stability, and we support the efforts of the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Region to meet the demands of the Iraqi people."

Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid condemned the attacks in a post on the social network X, stating: "This action violates Iraqi sovereignty and creates instability and insecurity in the country. These issues must be resolved through constructive dialogue, not through military attacks that threaten Iraq's security."

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani also called last night's missile attack a clear violation of Iraq's and the Kurdistan Region's independence and called on the Iraqi government to take a stand. He stated: "He will discuss this issue with international partners in the coming days and called on the international community not to remain silent on this issue."
