The Supreme Court has upheld the public execution sentence of two defendants in the Shah Cheragh Shrine incident case.

HRANA News Agency – The Supreme Court of Iran has confirmed the death sentences of Mohammad Ramez Rashidi and Seyyed Naeem Hashemi Qatali, two defendants in the case known as the “Shah Cheragh Shrine Incident.” Earlier, the Chief Justice of Fars Province had said that the death sentences of these individuals would soon be carried out in public.

According to the HRANA news agency, citing Mehr, the death sentence for two defendants in the “Shah Cheragh Shrine” incident was confirmed by the Supreme Court.

The report states that the Supreme Court branch panel, regarding the appeal of defense attorneys Mohammad Ramez Rashidi and Seyyed Naeem Hashemi Qatali, against the verdict issued by the first branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Court of Shiraz, confirmed the verdict based on the comprehensive contents of the case, the report of the Fars Provincial Intelligence Department, the statements of the defendants, and the technical documents provided.

Earlier, Seyyed Kazem Mousavi, the Chief Justice of Fars Province, announced the issuance of death sentences for two defendants in the case known as the “Shah Cheragh Shrine Incident,” and said: “Given that the main defendant in this incident was killed on the night of the incident, the death sentences of two of the other five defendants in the case have been confirmed and will be carried out soon on 9th of Dey Street.”

He had previously announced the issuance of an indictment against five defendants in connection with the recent incident at the "Shah Cheragh Shrine" in Shiraz, with charges including "war, corruption on earth, and rebellion."

According to Mousavi, the court hearing to hear the charges against the defendants in this case, all of whom are citizens of a country neighboring Iran, was held in the Revolutionary Courts of Shiraz and Tehran.
