Families of arrested Kurdish activists gather in Sanandaj

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network website reported that on Sunday, March 25, families of a group of Kurdish activists arrested in the cities of Sanandaj, Kamyaran, and Marivan held a protest rally in front of the IRGC Intelligence Organization building in Sanandaj, demanding their immediate release.
A person close to the family of one of the detainees told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network: "This rally was led by women from the families of the detainees, and in their slogans they demanded information about the status of the detainees and their release."
According to this informed source, the Revolutionary Guards tried to disperse the crowd several times with threats, and finally, by announcing that a number of the detainees would be released on bail in the coming days, they demanded an end to the gathering.
Earlier, the head of Iran's judiciary said that there are currently no "political prisoners" in Iran and that the Iranian judiciary has "never prosecuted anyone for criticism." This comes despite the fact that dozens of political, civil, and social activists have been imprisoned in Iran in recent months.
