Nazanin Zaghari's family announces the end of her five-year prison sentence on March 8

The family of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe issued a statement on Tuesday, March 3, reminding that the five-year prison sentence of this Iranian-British citizen will officially end on March 7.

The announcement warns that the world is waiting to hear whether the Iranian government will release Nazanin Zaghari and allow her to return to her home in the UK, where her husband and young daughter await her.

Therefore, Ms. Zaghari's family, in collaboration with Howell and Amnesty International's Westminster and Bayswater offices, have produced videos that have been released since February 26, chronicling the final 10 days of her prison sentence.

These countdown videos feature poems sung by Emma Thompson and Olivia Colman, two famous British actresses, as well as letters from Nazanin Zaghari.

In a video released on Tuesday, Olivia Colman recites a poem by Golrokh Iraei titled "For the Hair."

Nazanin Zaghari was arrested in April 2016 on charges of espionage while leaving Iran and spent several years in prison. She is currently under house arrest. Ms. Zaghari has always denied the charges and insisted on her innocence.
