Domestic violence: Murder of a woman by her husband in Arak

HRANA News Agency – A 41-year-old woman in Arak was stabbed to death by her husband following a family dispute. The suspect was arrested and introduced to the judicial authorities after a case was filed.

According to HRANA news agency, citing Rokna, a 41-year-old woman in Arak was murdered by her husband.

The head of the Central Province Police Department said in this regard: “Following the discovery of the body of a woman aged about 41 years old on August 16 of this year inside her home in Arak city, the investigation of the matter was placed on the agenda of the Central Province Police Department. In the initial investigation, it was determined from the scene of the murder that a woman aged about 41 years old had been stabbed to death, and a specialized police investigation was immediately launched to identify the killer and the motive for the murder.”

Kamyar Chehri noted: “In the very first minutes of the police investigation, when the issue of a family dispute and fight between the victim and his wife was raised by those around him, efforts were immediately launched to arrest the victim’s wife.”

Referring to the identification of the accused in one of the neighboring provinces, he stated: “In an operation by the Central Province Intelligence Police, the accused was arrested and transferred to Arak. During police interrogations, the accused confessed to killing his wife due to family disputes and was introduced to the judicial authority after a case was filed.”
