Death of "Kyomarth Pourahmad" due to heart attack or suicide
Some reports indicate that Kiomars Pour-Ahmad died of a heart attack, while others declared it a suicide.
"Kyomarth Pourahmad", director, screenwriter, editor, and producer, passed away this morning, Wednesday, April 6, at the age of 74.
Some media outlets reported his death as a heart attack, while his friends told a different story. Pour-Ahmad's friends told the monthly film magazine "Film Emrooz" that Kiyomars Pour-Ahmad's death was self-inflicted. "Film Emrooz" magazine also wrote: "Kiyomars Pour-Ahmad committed suicide and ended his life due to depression and hopelessness about the future."
Reports indicate that Kiomars Pour-Ahmad ended his life by hanging himself this morning in the coastal town of Anzali after writing an eight-page letter.
His body has been transferred to a forensic doctor for examination to determine the main cause of death. According to the Gilan prosecutor, upon receiving the death report, the special homicide investigator at the scene and through initial investigations confirmed the suicide of the cinema director, but the details require a detailed judicial investigation.
