Controversial remarks by a science and technology student against government spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi

A brave student at the University of Science and Technology challenged Mr. Ali Bahadori Jahromi with his controversial remarks during a question and answer session on the occasion of Student Day.

Government Spokesperson Ali Bahadori Jahromi held a question-and-answer session at the University of Science and Technology on the occasion of Student Day. A student took the podium to answer his questions.

This educated student first announced, "Friends, don't threaten us, we haven't come here to insult anyone, we are students." Then he began his speech by saluting the 5,000-toman dollar and 40 percent inflation.

It is interesting that Mr. Bahadori did not understand what this young man meant by greeting the 5,000-toman dollar.

He says that the routine of this country is that rice worth 100,000 tomans is reduced to 70,000 tomans, and the inflation issue is similar. Inflation is decreasing from 60 percent to 40 percent, and we are proud of it. The young man continues his speech by saying that he wants to tell you and the governments that I don't know if will come after you: Don't just make promises and slogans. Because it is the duty of every government to be accountable to its people. It is not an honor for a government spokesperson to respond to students at a university, but it is the government's duty to be accountable. We the people have proven ourselves for 43 years. Now, the government and the military that are stopping the people's protests with tear gas are actually insulting the people and the martyrs. I am from the educated class of society and a student, this government is obliged to give me a platform and listen to me. What have you done for the nation so that they can speak their minds? Fars News Agency and the 20:30 program are only against the nation, where do we have the opportunity to speak our minds?

He says, "I am from the nation and part of Iran, and you cannot consider me separated from this soil. I am not deceived by the enemy, but I am educated." This educated young man also recounts other problems, which can be seen in the video below.

But many people and students who have seen and heard this brave student speak fear that this young scholar will be arrested and harmed. Will the Islamic Republic government listen to him or will they arrest him like the other protesters and hand him an unknown fate?
