US Ambassador for Religious Freedom: Iran remains one of the most repressive regimes in the world

The U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom said on Thursday, November 20, that the Islamic Republic of Iran remains one of the most repressive regimes in the world.

According to the US State Department website, Samuel Brownback said at a press conference in Washington that Iran has behaved horribly towards religious minorities.

He added that the US government has always spoken out and criticized this issue, and has placed Iran under the toughest sanctions ever imposed.
