Queen Farah Pahlavi: I am confident that the sacrifice of Iranians to achieve freedom will bear fruit.
In a message in response to the recent protests in Iran, Queen Farah Pahlavi says that she is confident that the sacrifices of Iranians to achieve freedom and democracy will bear fruit.
In this message, a copy of which was provided to Voice of America, Queen Farah Pahlavi says: "In the past few days, the call for justice from you, the women, men, youth, workers, and students of Iran, in protest against high prices, unemployment, discrimination, corruption, and injustice, was heard from all the streets of Iran, and it resonated throughout the world."
He added: "Your advocacy has made the people of the world, and most of all the Iranians who live in different countries of the world with the memory of Iran and far from home, sympathize with you and join you, and has inspired the world to support you and your struggles to achieve freedom and justice as much as possible."
Queen Farah Pahlavi concluded by writing: "I spend these days with you like all days. I mourn with you the loved ones who have lost their lives in these protests, I share in the sorrow of the families who were deprived of even saying goodbye to the lifeless body of their child, and like all of you, I wish recovery for the injured and the traumatized, and freedom for all the innocent who have been trapped in prison and torture."
