Issuance of an arrest warrant for a writer and researcher to be executed in Iran

Mojgan Kavsi, a writer and researcher, announced on her Instagram page that Branch 2 of Nowshahr City's Execution of Sentences had issued an arrest warrant for her to serve her prison sentence.
On Friday, May 16, Mojgan Kavsi announced by posting two videos on her Instagram that the sentence issued against her to serve her 76 months and 15 days in prison has been sent to Branch 2 of the Nowshahr City Sentence Enforcement Department and an arrest warrant has been issued. This sentence was issued in March last year by the Mazandaran Provincial Court of Appeal against Ms. Kavsi on charges of “propaganda against the regime,” “encouraging people to disrupt public order,” and “membership in groups hostile to the regime.”
It should be noted that Ms. Kavsi was initially sentenced to 69 months in prison by the Nowshahr Court of First Instance, but this sentence was increased to 76 months and 15 days by the Mazandan Provincial Court of Appeal after the prosecutor complained that the sentence was too short and rejected the defenses of the case lawyer.
According to this Iranian Kurdish writer and researcher, during her release, she was treated by her doctors due to some medical problems, and currently her doctors have announced that Ms. Kavsi should receive treatment outside of prison; however, this request has been rejected by the Second Branch of the Execution of Sentences.
In the video, Mojgan Kawsi also says that on Tuesday, May 13, her husband went to Branch 2 of the Execution of Sentences to follow up on the case and retrieve personal belongings that were confiscated by security forces during the arrest of the Kurdish writer and researcher. By chance, after meeting with an expert on judicial issues from the aforementioned branch, he learned that an arrest warrant for Ms. Kawsi had been issued that same day.
According to available information, Mojgan Kavsi was arrested by security forces on Monday, November 18, and after 22 days of detention in the IRGC Intelligence Detention Center in Sari, she was transferred to the women's ward of Nowshahr Prison. Finally, on December 19, she was temporarily released from prison on bail until the end of the trial.
The US State Department has repeatedly condemned the Islamic Republic regime's violent actions against the Iranian people under various pretexts, including attacks on the freedom to choose the type of clothing, as well as the repeated and persistent violations of the rights of Iranian citizens by agents of the regime.
