Amnesty International calls for immediate release of Farhad Meysami

Amnesty International said that Iranian authorities should immediately and unconditionally release Farhad Meysami.
This political prisoner is being held against his will in the Evin Prison infirmary until his hunger strike is forcibly ended.
Farhad Meysami, a physician and human rights activist, has been in prison since August for supporting the women's campaign against compulsory hijab.
His health is in serious danger due to his long hunger strike.
Farhad Meysami was reportedly forcibly transferred to the prison infirmary a month ago and placed under a headscarf. Amnesty International adds that her only crime was speaking out against compulsory hijab.
