Call for official oil industry employees on January 17

Official employees of the Iranian oil industry will hold a recall on Tuesday, January 17.

In October of this year, official employees working in Iranian oil industry organizations, while announcing their support for the nationwide protests, warned that if the Islamic Republic government did not stop the repression, arrests, and killings, we would stop working and join the public gathering with our families.

The first general strike of workers and employees of official and unofficial oil and gas projects, as well as the oil company, began on November 27, coinciding with the commemoration of King Cyrus of Iran. They announced that they are certain that cutting off the oil and gas revenues of the dictatorial regime of the Islamic Republic can help the dear people of Iran achieve freedom and overthrow the regime of the Islamic Republic.

Also, on December 16, official oil industry employees gathered and went on strike in several southern cities of the country.

Now, the Coordination and Solidarity Council of Official Oil Industry Employees, having announced that we had previously warned that if the Islamic Republic regime does not stop its repression and crimes, all oil and gas industry employees will stop working and cause heavy losses to the government, has prepared a new call for tomorrow, Tuesday, December 17, and has announced the time and place of the nationwide rally.

These gatherings are scheduled for two different times, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Official employees in Tehran, Ahvaz, Mahshahr, Gachsaran, Shiraz, Isfahan, Mashhad, Ilam, Abadan, Lavan, Khark, Arak, Bandar Abbas, Asaluyeh from two regions, Khankiran, Lamerd, Dalan and Farashband, Fajr Jam, employees of drilling rigs and oil platforms, as well as the headquarters of gas companies in all provinces will join this gathering.

The council also announced that due to the possibility of changing weather conditions, employees should bring umbrellas and raincoats, and if the weather conditions worsen, a meeting will be held at the refineries themselves with the presence of all employees.

What will be the reaction of the Islamic Republic government to the strike and protest of the largest economic hub in all of Iran? What measures will it devise to prevent this strike and protest? Hasn't the time yet come for them to believe in the fall of the regime?
