Ferdows, accused of raping children, sentenced to imprisonment and ban on residing in this city

HRANA News Agency – A teacher accused of raping a number of children in Ferdows city was sentenced to 7 years and 3 months in prison and a 2-year ban on residing in the city by Branch 101 of Criminal Court 2. Upon the plaintiffs’ objection, the case has been sent to the Court of Appeals of South Khorasan Province. The Chief Justice of South Khorasan Province, while denying the news that the teacher raped 18 children in Ferdows city, stated that the number of these children was 7 and that the accusation against the teacher was child abuse.
According to HRANA news agency, quoting Asr Iran, a teacher accused of raping children in Ferdows city was sentenced to 7 years and three months in prison and a 2-year ban on residing in the city by Branch 101 of Criminal Court 2.
The Chief Justice of South Khorasan Province claimed in this regard: "The issue of a teacher raping 18 children, which was published in hostile media, is not true. The main charge against the male teacher in Ferdows is child abuse, and a legal case has been registered against seven of the plaintiffs."
Ali Movahed Rad said: “Last June, following the announcement of a complaint by the families of seven female students that their child had been the target of sexual harassment and exploitation by a teacher, a case was filed in this regard and was processed through legal procedures in Branch 101 of Criminal Court 2. After conducting preliminary investigations in law enforcement agencies and the prosecutor’s office, it was determined that the 55-year-old defendant, who has no criminal convictions, had sexually harassed and exploited minors by showing them obscene videos via his mobile phone and engaging in some immoral behavior.”
He stated: “Based on legal citations and despite the defendant’s denials of some of the charges, Criminal Court 2 sentenced him to three months of imprisonment for making pornographic content available to children and adolescents, two years in prison for harassment, and five years in prison for sexual exploitation through the provision of children. On the other hand, the court sentenced the defendant to a two-year ban on residing in Ferdows as an additional punishment.”
The Chief Justice of South Khorasan stated: "At the same time, and with some plaintiffs objecting to the court's ruling, this case has been sent to the provincial Court of Appeals, and legal investigations and investigations are continuing so that all angles and dimensions of this unfortunate incident are subject to judicial review."
Earlier, Seyyed Alireza Mousavinejad, the Director General of Education of South Khorasan Province, confirmed the news of a teacher sexually and verbally harassing (raping) 7 children in Ferdows County and announced that a case had been filed against the accused in the judiciary and the Administrative Violations Investigation Board. His identity (M.D.) was stated to be a 55-year-old teacher with 28 years of service experience.
