The law on hijab and chastity: we will arrest, imprison, and fine

MP Jalil Rashidi reacted to the hijab and chastity law, which says we will arrest, lock up, and fine.
The law that was passed and approved by the parliament regarding the hijab and chastity led to arrests, the sealing of some public places, cash fines, etc., which is not unlike a war with the people as a result of not observing the mandatory hijab. A law that leads to arrests and fines.
Jalil Rashidi-Kochi, a representative of Marvdasht in the parliament, reacted to this law and said: "The implementation of the Hijab and Chastity Law increases public dissatisfaction. It almost always says that we will arrest, imprison, and fine, but we have not said at all where we will encourage, persuade, support, and guide. We have an extremely noble people, and this does not mean that whatever the government does, the people will be behind it."
Regarding the economic problems in society and the poverty prevailing among the people, he added: "I believe that the government should act more strongly in the economic field. They say that we have controlled inflation, but people's tables say something else. The prices of consumer goods have risen greatly and we cannot say that we have controlled inflation. What has happened to housing? Has it improved since the 13th government, remained stable, or increased? Rent is also in the hands of the government and has the necessary capacity to control it. Along with macro decisions, small decisions should also be made for the benefit of the people."
He also said about the people's meager rights to use the internet: "Filtering plays with the people's souls. It was supposed to be removed after the atmosphere calmed down, but it is being strengthened day by day. Also, the ban on the iPhone is among the decisions that unfortunately overshadow the principle of Mr. Raisi's government."
In conclusion, referring to the aforementioned cases, he continued his speech with the implementation of the Hijab and Chastity Law and added: "The implementation of the Hijab and Chastity Law increases people's dissatisfaction and is only about arresting, locking up, and fines, but there is no talk of encouragement, persuasion, support, or guidance at all. These cases are not in the Hijab Law, and this issue is the same as going to the judge unilaterally. I think it is unlikely that anything special will happen by imposing fines. We must bring hearts together."
