Forced cancellation of Nika Shakermi's anniversary ceremony due to government threats

The Islamic Republic government prevented nationwide protests by threatening to hold a ceremony to mark the anniversary of the death of Nika Shakermi.

Nika Shakermi was one of the victims of the nationwide protests of 1401 who was killed by security forces. So far, the regime has prevented the families of the victims from holding ceremonies for their loved ones, under various pretexts and threats, and has even arrested some of the families.

Nika's mother, Nasrin Shakerami, also published a text on her Instagram page in this regard, announcing the forced cancellation of Nika's memorial ceremony. In this text, Nasrin Shakerami announced that the government of the Islamic Republic is also afraid of the name of our children and has prevented the anniversary ceremony from being held at Nika's grave. We will hold Nika's anniversary ceremony at the home of her aunt, "Ateesh Shakerami."

Atash Shakermi also wrote: "Is it possible to drag the stars from the sky to the depths of nothingness by destroying their graves? You and your friends are the stars of this land."

The regime and its agents have intended to create fear and terror among the people by pressuring and threatening families, arresting and imprisoning them, so that they can, so to speak, keep their government afloat, but the people of Iran continue to stand up to overthrow the regime and move forward without any fear.
