Michael Prigent: Unlike the Iranian people, Islamic Republic-backed groups in Iraq, Yemen, and Syria benefited from the nuclear deal

Michael Prigent, an analyst at the Hudson Institute, says that instead of the Iranian people, groups supported by the Islamic Republic of Iran in Iraq, Yemen, and Syria have benefited from the Iran nuclear deal.

Mr. Prechent said on Wednesday, September 25, in a virtual meeting on the topic of "The Importance of Returning Sanctions Against Iran," that the Iranian regime spent the money obtained after the nuclear deal on destabilizing Iraq, Syria, and Yemen.

The Hudson Institute analyst also said that people in Iran oppose the Islamic Republic's regime, and Iraqi ethnic groups oppose the Iranian regime's interference in Iraqi affairs.

Former US diplomat Joseph DiTrani also said in this virtual meeting that the Iranian regime supports proxy groups in the region instead of the people of this country, and that they do not care about the Iranian people.

Former US Ambassador to Morocco Mark Ginsburg also said at the meeting: "We need a new alliance between the United States and Europe to meet the needs of the Iranian people."

This virtual meeting was hosted by the National Council of Resistance of Iran and was held on Wednesday.
