The average house price in Tehran was announced at 41 million and 500 thousand tomans per square meter.

Despite the Central Bank previously announcing the average house price in Tehran in June as a historic record of 39,414,000 tomans per square meter, the Statistics Center of Iran announced the average price as 2 million tomans higher.
The Statistical Center of Iran announced on Wednesday, July 5, that in June this year, the price index for residential apartments in Tehran increased by 7.1 percent compared to the previous month, reaching 41 million 409 thousand tomans per square meter.
According to this statistic, District 1 of Tehran has the highest price with an average price of 78 million and 447 thousand Tomans, and District 17 has the lowest price with an average price of 20 million and 788 thousand Tomans among the 22 districts of Tehran.
This is despite the fact that on July 28, the Central Bank of Iran announced that the average house price in Tehran in June was 39,414,000 Tomans, which was a historical record with an increase of about 33 percent compared to June last year.
Explaining the difference between its statistics and those of the Central Bank, the Statistical Center of Iran has stated that for calculating the percentage change in the price of residential units, the "price index" shows price changes better than the "average price".
In the past few years, with continued rampant inflation and significant increases in housing and rent prices, numerous reports have been published about the tendency of Tehran's renters to live on the outskirts.
According to statistics from the startup "Nobar", which provides moving services in Tehran and Alborz provinces, 48% of the company's users have moved to a lower area and 13% have a desire to leave Tehran.
