Afghan Christians at risk of deportation from the US

More than hundreds of Afghan Christians are at risk of deportation from the United States following the deportation order for Afghan refugees.
According to published reports, after the order to deport Afghan refugees from the United States, more than 9,000 Afghan refugees living legally in the United States were at risk of deportation, including more than hundreds of Christians who converted to Christianity in 2021 after the US withdrew from Afghanistan.
American religious leaders criticized the order and warned against their deportation, stating: "The deportation of Afghan refugees, especially Christians, will expose them to a serious threat from the Taliban." They also called on Donald Trump to prevent the deportation of Christians and asked his vice president and the US Department of Homeland Security to give them 90 days to review their situation and the possibility of supporting them.
It should be noted that on April 10, the US Department of Homeland Security announced the cancellation of special humanitarian assistance for Afghans.
Not only Afghan Christians, but also many Iranian Christians who were transferred from the United States to Panama in recent months, are still at risk of deportation to Iran. Many human rights organizations have protested the deportation of these citizens, stating that deporting asylum seekers from a country where they have declared asylum and who would face a life-threatening risk if returned to their country of origin is against human rights law.
This order comes at a time when many Christians in Iran are being arrested, tortured, and persecuted by the Islamic Republic government, often serving long prison sentences and fines. In addition, after their release, they are deprived of their citizenship rights, face deportation, and in some cases, have their property confiscated.
In Afghanistan, Christians also face mortal danger from the Taliban, who fearlessly kill them in the most brutal way possible, regardless of whether they are women, men, or teenagers.
