Malika Karagozlu was arrested by security forces.

HRANA News Agency – On the evening of Wednesday, July 12, Malika Qaragozlou, a journalism student at Allameh Tabatabaei University, was arrested by security forces and taken to an unknown location.

According to HRANA News Agency, the news agency of the Human Rights Activists in Iran, on the evening of Wednesday, July 12, 2022, Malika Qaragozlou, a journalism student at Allameh Tabatabaei University, was arrested by security forces.

Ms. Karagozlou recently protested the mandatory hijab law in a video by removing her hijab.

So far, there is no information about the charges, the arresting agency, or the location of this citizen's detention.

Malika Qaragozlou had previously been arrested by security forces during the nationwide protests of November 2019 and was released from Evin Prison some time later after posting bail of 60 million Tomans.

He was sentenced to six months in prison by the Tehran Revolutionary Court in late 2019. In November 2020, this citizen was included in the amnesty decree of the head of the judiciary and was released from prison.
