Nateq Nouri: The Leader is aware of the dimensions of the officials' humiliating corruption

Ali Akbar Nateq Nouri, head of the Supreme Leader’s Office of Inspection, has said that Ayatollah Khamenei is aware of the extent and extent of “humiliating corruption” in the country. He said that the files of violations of some banks are under his supervision in the Inspection Office, and the results of the inspections in this case are also regularly reported to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Nateq Nouri said elsewhere in his speech that in one of his last meetings with Ayatollah Khamenei, he told him: “How is it that if I wanted to, I could not introduce someone to the bank to get a loan of 10 million tomans, but someone could easily get a loan of 350 billion tomans from the bank with an unrealistic collateral?”

The head of the Inspection Office of Ayatollah Khamenei, in another part of his speech, called the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ranking in terms of corruption humiliating and said: “I feel humiliated by studying Iran’s ranking in terms of corruption.” Nateq Nouri has stated: “The fact that the Islamic Republic of Iran has dropped from 86th to 136th in terms of corruption” is humiliating for the Islamic government of Iran.

Ali Akbar Nateg Nouri has called the government the source of widespread corruption in the Islamic Republic of Iran and said that if the Islamic Republic of Iran cannot prevent the spread of corruption in the country, the reason is that the perpetrators of corruption are all managers, officials, and members of government factions who are not dealt with due to "confrontation" or "interest".

Ali Akbar Nateq Nouri added that two reports are sent to the Supreme Leader's House Security Service about him every week, stating that his name is being used to benefit from rent and privileges. In response, Nateq Nouri said that "anyone who has evidence about his economic corruption and that of his children, as well as his son-in-law and relatives, should publish it."

Nateq Nouri, who made these remarks in response to the accusations of Fazel Larijani (who himself and his brothers in power are among the controversial defendants of corruption in Iran), further added: “The fact that some people accuse others of corruption without any evidence or proof shows the depth of corruption in the country.”

In separate statements, Masoud Khansari, head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, considered corruption to be a factor in economic backwardness and a major obstacle to foreign investment in Iran, saying: “Of the 160 trade delegations that came to Iran this year, more than 60 delegations have expressed concern about the existence of corruption in Iranian government agencies.”

Masoud Khansari added in the end: As a result of the development of corruption, “investment growth in Iran has been negative since 2011, so much so that to this day, not a single large foreign investor has been attracted to Iran, in addition to the fact that national capital has also left the country.”
