Global solidarity and Israeli ambassador with Iranian protesters

Amid nationwide protests in Iran and severe repression, Israel's representative to the United Nations focused international attention on the situation in Tehran with a message of support and warning about the human cost of freedom.

As nationwide protests in Iran enter their second week and spread, the violent clashes and human losses have increasingly drawn the attention of the international community. At the same time, Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, in a clear and supportive message to the Iranian protesters, expressed his concern about the heavy price people are paying for freedom and emphasized global solidarity with them.

In a video message he released, Danny Danon told the people of Iran: “I witness your courage, I feel your pain, and I share your hope for a better future in Iran, free from evil and terror.” He added: “The whole world is watching what is happening on the streets of Iran and praying for you.”

In this statement, Danon explicitly referred to the human cost of the protests. His remarks were broadcast on Christian media, including CBN News, and drew the attention of religious and political circles in the West to the situation in Iran.

In this conversation, he also emphasized Israel's close monitoring of the Islamic Republic's nuclear programs and ballistic missile production, an issue that the Israeli government considers a threat beyond its own interests.

The message came as regional tensions between Iran and Israel have continued in recent years following direct clashes, including the 12-day war, which has led to increased diplomatic and media focus on Iran's nuclear program and the situation of protesters inside the country.

The protests, which initially began with an economic crisis and dissatisfaction with livelihood problems, have quickly turned into broader political demands. Media reports and human rights organizations indicate that the protests have spread to many cities in Iran and have become one of the biggest social challenges in recent years.

According to international news agencies, at least dozens of people have been killed and thousands have been arrested, a statistic that has been reported at least in part by independent groups but has not been confirmed by official authorities in the Islamic Republic.

At the same time, international human rights officials have warned of the rising number of victims and called for an urgent response from the international community. Human rights organizations, including Amnesty International, have called for emergency meetings and independent investigations into human rights violations in Iran.

Danon's message of support has received significant coverage in Christian media and Western news networks. Speaking to CBN News, he reiterated the pain and sacrifice of the Iranian people, saying, "The whole world is watching and praying for you."

This type of media coverage, especially among religious audiences and Christian-language media, could draw more attention to the “Women, Life, Freedom” movement and civil demands in Iran, a movement that has been resurgent for years, inspired by previous protests and economic crises and social freedoms.

As nationwide protests in Iran continue to face repression and rising casualties, international reactions are also intensifying. The message from the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, expressing solidarity with the Iranian people and emphasizing the importance of global attention to their situation, is part of these reactions. At the same time, efforts are ongoing within the international community and human rights organizations to draw greater attention to the humanitarian and political dimensions of this crisis, an issue that could affect global and regional politics in the coming months.
