Pope Francis: Stop the war in Gaza and Ukraine

Pope Francis, the leader of the world's Catholics, called for an end to the wars in Gaza and Ukraine.
According to ISNA, Pope Francis said in an interview with CBSNEWS television: "Please, countries that are at war, stop the war. Start negotiations and seek peace. A negotiated peace is better than a war without end."
He added that the very difficult experiences of the people of Gaza should be heard. Pope Francis said of these experiences: "Food is running out and they have to fight for it. Children don't know how to smile. They have forgotten how to smile, and when a child forgets how to smile, it is very difficult. This is really serious, very serious."
The Pope announced that hundreds of Palestinians have taken refuge in the Roman Catholic Church in Gaza, and that he calls the church every day to inquire about the situation of the people, and has learned that people are fighting each other for food.
