Four prisoners were executed in Birjand Prison
At dawn today, Tuesday, the death sentences of four prisoners were carried out in Birjand Prison.
سحرگاه امروز سهشنبه 11 اردیبهشت ماه، حکم اعدام چهار زندانی به اتهامات مرتبط با جرایم مواد مخدر در زندان بیرجند به مرحله اجرا درآمد که در بین آنها یک زن نیز اعدام شد.
According to published reports, these prisoners were arrested on charges of drug crimes and then sentenced to death by the judicial authorities. The identities of three of them are "Mehdi Ashtrak" from the village of Sahrah Mirzakhun in Zahak County, "Mohammad Shahbakhsh" and "Mahmoud Gargij" from Zahedan.
It should be noted that the news of the execution of these individuals has not been announced by prison officials or government institutions to this point.
The execution of the aforementioned individuals on charges related to drug crimes, and many others who have been executed for this reason, took place while the Islamic Republic government itself is one of the largest importers of drugs from other countries.
طبق آمار سالانه که توسط مرکز آمار و مجموعه فعالان حقوق بشر در ایران منتشر میشود، در سال گذشته (1402) دستکم 767 شهروند از جمله 21 زن و 2 کودک اعدام شدهاند که از این تعداد، حکم 7 نفر در ملاء عام به اجرا درآمده است.
