White House: US had no role in Natanz attack

The US government has announced that it had no involvement in the attack on the power supply system at the Natanz nuclear facility. The Islamic Republic officials are blaming Mossad and Israel for the attack on the nuclear facility.
Two days after the attack on the power supply system of the Natanz nuclear facility, the White House has denied reports that the country may have participated in that attack.
In a report published on the Natanz incident, the New York Times, citing two American and Israeli intelligence sources, attributed responsibility for the attack to the Mossad.
White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki denied in her news report on Monday, April 12, any US intervention in the attack on the Natanz nuclear facility.
Reuters reported from Washington on the White House spokesperson's statement. In her press conference, Jen Psaki also refused to state her position on Israel's role in the sabotage at the Natanz nuclear facility.
"We have nothing to say about speculation about the causes of this incident or its effects," he said.
Reuters news agency, in its report, quoted Iranian officials as holding Israel responsible for the attack on the Natanz nuclear facility, calling it the latest example of a long and covert war between Iran and Israel.
The White House spokesman also declined to comment on the possible effects of the attack on the JCPOA Joint Commission talks in Vienna.
It should be noted that the meeting of political representatives of the countries concerned in the 2015 nuclear deal is scheduled to continue in Vienna on Wednesday, April 14.
