Book seller Bukani was sentenced to prison for selling "Bible" books

A citizen from Bukan was sentenced to prison by the Iranian judicial system for selling the book "Bible" and is currently in prison.

Based on the report received by the Hangau Human Rights Organization, during the past days, "Mustafa Rahimi" Ali's son was sentenced to 3 months and one day in prison by Branch 101 of Bukan General Court.

A source close to Mr. Rahimi's family announced that this sentence was imposed on him on the charge of selling the "Bible" book.

Mustafa Rahimi was arrested by the Bukan Intelligence Department on June 11, 2019, and was temporarily released from prison after posting a bail of 200 million Tomans until the trial.

 After being sentenced to prison by the court, he has been detained for 10 days and is being held in Bukan Central Prison to serve the sentence.

Mr. Rahimi owned a bookstore on National Bank Alley in Bukan and made his living from this.
