Animation “King of Kings” Becomes Highest-Grossing Film in American Cinema History

The animation “King of Kings” about the life of Jesus Christ has claimed the title of the highest-grossing film in the history of American cinemas.
The animation “King of Kings” was produced by South Korean studio “Mofak” and directed by “Jang Seung-ho”. Its trailer was released in February 2025. The film narrates the life of Jesus Christ and managed to break the record of the acclaimed film “Parasite” which was also an Oscar winner.
King of Kings was adapted from the book “The Life of Our Lord” written by “Charles Dickens”, which depicts the life of Jesus Christ from birth to resurrection. “Oscar Isaac”, “Pierce Brosnan”, “Kent Branna”, “Uma Thurman”, and “Forest Whitaker” are among the renowned voice actors of this extraordinary work.
The screening of King of Kings began on April 11, and in its first week of release, with sales of 19 million dollars, it secured the second position on the box office chart in North American cinemas. Its sales have now reached 54.7 million dollars. This animation also achieved the best opening in history for content with religious themes.
