Prince Reza Pahlavi’s Statements Regarding US and Israel Threats by the Islamic Republic

Prince Reza Pahlavi made statements regarding the threats to the US and Israel by the Islamic Republic in connection with the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, leader of Hamas.

Prince Reza Pahlavi published a post on August 13th regarding the elimination of the leader of the terrorist organization Hamas and the Islamic Republic’s threats against America and Israel, writing: “The Islamic Republic is chanting slogans against Israel and America and beating the drums of war under the pretext of eliminating the leader of a terrorist organization, while it is incapable of providing water, electricity, fuel, and bread to the Iranian people.

For weeks now, workers and retirees from various sectors, nurses and healthcare workers, farmers, contractors, and truckers across Iran have been protesting and striking, yet the incompetent and kleptocratic regime is unable to meet their legitimate demands.

Iran is a country with vast resources and specialized human capital, and should never face difficulties in providing for the basic and daily needs of its people, and its workers, employees, and retirees should not have to fight for their rights in the streets. These are the minimum duties of a national and competent government in Iran, but the Islamic Republic is neither national nor competent. For this regime, Iran is like spoils of war to seize in order to expand its destructive Islamic caliphate throughout the region and the world. The path the Islamic Republic is on leads to the destruction of Iran, greater suffering for Iranians, and endangering the country’s territorial integrity.”

My message to the military, law enforcement, and security forces, to civil servants and administrators of state institutions, and to those in society who still stand by this regime out of religious conviction is this: “Instead of standing against the Iranian people, stand against the regime. Before the Islamic Republic pushes our homeland into the abyss of oblivion, join the Iranian people and cast the Islamic Republic into the dustbin of history, and work to restore a national government in Iran, which is better for you, your families, the great nation of Iran, and the magnificent country of Iran.”
