Tom Cotton Proposes Plan to Change Name of “West Bank” to Biblical Jewish Names

“Tom Cotton” presented a plan according to which the name “West Bank” would be changed to Biblical Jewish names.
Tom Cotton, a U.S. Senator from the state of Arkansas, issued a statement and introduced legislation according to which U.S. officials would henceforth be required to use the phrase “Judea and Samaria” instead of “West Bank” in official U.S. government documents for describing this region, terms which Cotton believes represent the precise historical terminology.
Tom Cotton stated: “The legal and historical rights of the Jewish people to Judea and Samaria go back thousands of years. The United States should stop using the political term West Bank in order to refer to the heartland of Israel (in accordance with the Bible).”
Tom Cotton’s remarks came at a time when, according to United Nations resolutions, this region is considered part of Palestinian territory. Furthermore, Hebrew media outlets also announced that “Bezalel Smotrich,” Israel’s Finance Minister, has called for the abolition of the civil administration in the West Bank and the annexation of this region to the occupiers of Jerusalem.
